**8-Week Rotation Start Options: June 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you a high school or college student looking to explore the fascinating world of welding? Look no further! Our Shop Internship is a unique opportunity to ignite your passion, learn from experienced professionals, and embark on a journey of hands-on learning and skill development.<\/p>\n

What You Can Expect: <\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Shop Intern at SteelFab, you will be introduced to several different aspects of SteelFab\u2019s fabrication plant while working alongside a designated mentor. The goal is for the intern to fully understand each department within the shop.<\/p>\n

Mentorship:<\/strong> Gain insights from seasoned Shop team members who are passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n

Hands-On Experience:\u00a0<\/strong>Get your hands on our fabrication equipment and start working on our projects under guidance.<\/p>\n

Safety Training:\u00a0<\/strong>Learn the importance of fabrication safety and best practices.<\/p>\n

Skill Development: <\/strong>Enhance your fabrication skills and work towards mastering a craft!<\/p>\n

Inspiration:\u00a0<\/strong>Explore the creative and practical sides of fabrication and see where your talents may lead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A sample summer internship schedule:<\/p>\n

  1. Week 1- Receiving<\/li>\n
  2. Week 2- Shapes<\/li>\n
  3. Week 3- Detail<\/li>\n
  4. Week 4- Detail Coordinator\u00a0<\/li>\n
  5. Week 5- Fitting<\/li>\n
  6. Week 6- Welding<\/li>\n
  7. Week 7- Paint<\/li>\n
  8. Week 8- Shipping<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Qualifications and Requirements<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Required:<\/strong> High school or college students with a passion for fabrication, machine operation, etc. Must be able to read tape measure to 1\/16\u201d increments. Must be able to speak and understand enough English to follow basic instructions. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs over shoulder height.<\/p>\n

    Age Requirement: <\/strong>18 years old or older.<\/p>\n

    Position Location: <\/strong>Charlotte, NC<\/p>\n

    8-Week Start Options:<\/strong> June 2026<\/p>\n
