Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Procurement Specialist will work to secure the materials, supplies and equipment SteelFab requires to complete essential business functions. An ideal candidate for this position is eager, motivated and in search of career advancement. The Procurement Specialist will receive on-the-job training to build on their experiences and skills by taking on several relevant tasks, including:<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies between vendor and shop.<\/li>\n
  2. Create Purchase Orders.<\/li>\n
  3. Maintain Pre-Construction material cost database for Estimating purposes.<\/li>\n
  4. Process receiving and corresponding paperwork.<\/li>\n
  5. Interact with vendors to ensure orders arrive correctly and by the requested date.<\/li>\n
  6. Reconciliation of inventory.<\/li>\n
  7. Maintain inventory records and job files.<\/li>\n
  8. Coordinate and manage material and procurement for sublet fabricators.<\/li>\n
  9. Maintain cordial working relationships with vendors.<\/li>\n
  10. Interact with internal departments such as Pre-Construction, Project Management, Shop, and others throughout the organization to provide service and problem resolution.<\/li>\n
  11. Reconcile invoices vs. purchase orders by coding and turning them into the Accounting Department and leadership for payment.<\/li>\n
  12. Possess an understanding of the current market and make quick decisions placing orders, price protection, etc. with mills.<\/li>\n
  13. Process and check detail shop drawings.<\/li>\n
  14. Perform other duties as required by management.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Qualifications and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Required: <\/strong>Working towards or having a bachelor\u2019s degree; or having an associate degree with a minimum of 2 \u2013 3 years\u2019 experience in Procurement.\u00a0 Motivated and career driven.\u00a0 Strong verbal, mathematics, and communication skills.\u00a0 Ability to be a team player with minimal supervision.\u00a0 Strong multi-tasker and must be detail oriented.<\/p>\n

          Preferred:<\/strong> Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
